I do not like beer. Or maybe I should say, for most of my life I did not like beer. That is, of course, until I fell in love with the world of chicken wings!

Makes you want to bit the screen, no? 🙂
It is impossible to truly appreciate tasty chicken wings without exploring ice cold beer as the perfect compliment. One nice simple, refreshing, “working-class” lager beer that I recommend trying with your next batch of wings is Hite.
Hite is South Korea’s most popular beer.
Hite is a South Korean beer whose recipe is based on a rice brew process similar to some American favorites like Budweiser. Unlike Budweiser, however, this beer does not taste like a tin can and will not give you an instant headache. It is light, sweet, and refreshing.
Hite is South Korea’s most popular beer, but if you are not in Asia it can be quite difficult to find. I think it pairs well with chicken wings because its doesn’t dominate the palette, and I think is better than similar style beers like Corona, Stella Artois, or Samuel Adams.
Try going to your local Asian market. Use it as an excuse to explore your local Asian market and force yourself to take at least a few items you’ve never tried along with the beer. I guarantee you will go back to the market soon if you do this!
